I was born here in Washington, DC, and grew up in Cleveland Park; walking distance to St. Albans School, from which I graduated in 1986. I have had a life-long interest in the American South, and spent my teenage summers studying classical and antebellum architecture on road trips through the Black Belt States. I continued my education in Paris, studying at the Sorbonne; in New York, studying visual arts at State University of New York in Purchase, and later moved to New York's East Village where I lived and painted.

My passion for architecture developed from a hobby to what is now my career, and I have a real gift for finding the right match for people and the homes they are meant to have. I'm known personally and professionally for my creative ideas in all areas and am a problem solver by nature.

Before becoming a licensed real estate agent with Long & Foster, I worked in the development office at The Kennedy Center, and for The Washington Ballet. Prior to returning to Washington in 2004, I was employed by Jane Fonda and lived in Atlanta and New Mexico working as her Aide-de-Camp. Before Fondaland, I was a magazine stylist in Manhattan, working on everything from Coca-Cola and L'Òreal ad campaigns to dressing Whitney Houston for her music videos. Later, as a fashion director, I had the privilege to work with some of the most talented photographers, fashion designers and artists in NY in the 90's. Before then, on the other side of the continent, I was a baker at Esalen in Big Sur, California in my early 20's. I still bake brioche for friends on Sundays.

My other interests playing tennis and serving as a national and sectional volunteer for the United States Tennis Association, and in January 2011, I was elected to the Board of Directors for the USTA Mid-Atlantic Section. I also love southern cooking, ballet, movies, hiking, progressive politics and hanging out with my black Lab, Jack.
